Our Story
Ryder’s Poke and Shave Ice was founded in 1999 by Ryder and his wife, Kathy. Ryder is a native Hawaiian and Kathy is from California. They met in college and fell in love with the island of Oahu.
After graduating from college, Ryder and Kathy moved to Oahu and opened Ryder’s Poke and Shave Ice. They started out with a small shop in Waikiki, but they quickly outgrew that space. In 2005, they moved to their current location in Honolulu.
Ryder’s Poke and Shave Ice has been a success from the start. The shop has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Los Angeles Times.
Ryder and Kathy are proud of the business they have built. They are committed to providing their customers with the best possible poke and shave ice experience.
